Hi all, My Fourth post on Christmas and Advent special is going to be “The Christmas tree- top bow”. so just jump in and get started.

THINGS WE NEED:
  • Ribbon 60mm in width (any colour will do),
  • wire,
  • needle and thread,
  • scissors.

Step 1:I am going to make six loop bow. It is really up to you to decide how big you like the bow to be and adjust the stitching measurement accordingly.
Step 2: Lets begin with singing the ends.

Step 3: Fold the entire ribbon in two. Take the middle part about 3cm away. Make a running stitch.

Step 4: Pull the thread through carefully.  Make a knot, this will make a loop. snip off the excess thread. At this stage i am going to mention one long  ribbon end as A-Tail and the other end as B-Tail.

Step 5:Now, form the loop that we just made, measure and make about 23cm away.

Step 6: Using needle and thread make a running stitch.

Step 7:Pull the thread through carefully.  Make a knot. snip off the excess thread. Repeat this process until the end on both A-Tail and B-Tail.

Step 8: Now take about 10cm of wire.

Step 9: Pass the wire through the center loop. Bring wire to the back of the ribbon ( where the A-Tail and B-Tail apart) together and twist it just as shown below.

Step 10: Now  its very important to pay attention that printed side of the ribbon is visible. Bring the immediate gathered part of A-Tail to the wire and twist the wire so that the wire keeps the ribbon in place.

Step 11: Repeat step 10 with the B-Tail. Always make sure the good side of the ribbon is visible outside.

Step 12: Repeat step 10 and 11 for the next immediate gathering point of  A-Tail and B-Tail.

Step 13: Repeat the above until the last gathering of both the ends of the ribbon.

Step 14: The wire is just it guide and help you to keep the ribbon in place. There we go our tree top bow is ready.

Important Information:
1.Cost :2.50 /Bow,
